High Desert Medical Group is seeking a full time Assistant for our Quality Management Department. This individual will provide clerical assistance and support in the areas of record keeping, data entry, auditing, reporting, and other Quality Management related functions and projects. They will seek and identify opportunities to improve data integrity, processed, member experiences, and outcomes. The individual will be expected to maintain a professional, positive, and caring attitude at all times.
Summary of duties:
- Record Keeping: gather, maintain, and organize documentation related to quality improvement initiatives and in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Data Management: Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas of improvement.
- Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits to assess the health care facility's compliance with quality standards.
- Assist QM Manager with Quality projects and provide clerical support for administrative projects.
- Assist the QM team with retrieving and organizing medical records for appeals, grievances, and PQI cases.
- Complete comprehensive training in all departmental tasks and functions to provide coverage for absent colleagues.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and efficient tasks handover during colleagues' absences.
- Provide clerical support to the QM department as requested.
- Assist in generating non-compliant and PCP withdrawal letters, fax to health plan, and mail certified letters to members.
- Exhibit adaptability and versatility to handle diverse responsibilities across the department.
- Proactively engage in continuous learning to stay up to date with evolving processes and tasks.
- Know location of Policy and Procedure and Communication books and be familiar with contents.
- Follow and adhere to HDMG's standards of attendance policy as it is pertinent to be available to assist our members and to deliver quality and efficient care.
- Other duties as assigned.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $35,880.00 and $47,819.20/year, non-exempt; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- One year experience in medical office, including customer service duties.
- Courses in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology helpful.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle and prioritize tasks in order to meet all given deadlines and productivity goals.
- Ability to responsibly handle matters of a confidential nature.
- Ability to work in a multi0task, high productive environment.
Compensation: 35880.00-47819.20
