About The East Carolina Heart Institute at ECU Health Medical Center
East Carolina Heart Institute at ECU Health Medical Center is the region's preferred facility for cardiovascular care. The six-story tower houses clinical space, diagnostic services and cardiovascular operating rooms, including a hybrid operating room. It features 120 beds for patients undergoing procedures for cardiac medicine, cardiac surgery and vascular surgery.
Position Summary
- The Staff Nurse demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to provide clinical care and supervise department partnerships to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- The Staff Nurse demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life-span.

The Staff Nurse possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status, and can interpret the appropriate information required to identify needs of the patient relative to his/her age and condition.
Minimum Requirements
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Current license as a RN in the state of North Carolina.

Demonstrates competencies in nursing practice.
Basic computer skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- This position is full-time (40hr/week) - 8:00am - 5:00pm M- F
