The Behavior Clinician provides direct one-on-one behavioral interventions to teach communication, social, and daily living skills and reduce problematic behaviors in which impact the home, community and learning environment.
Experience implementing behavior intervention plans (BIP). Experience with high intensity manipulative behaviors.
Position Qualifications:
- Current RBT certification in good standing
- Master's degree in ABA, Psychology, Sociology, or related field with 2 years experience working in group home, hospital, SED Designated classroom, Juvenile Hall, day treatment or other equivalent setting.
- Bachelor's degree in ABA, Psychology, Sociology, or related field with 4 years experience working in group home, hospital, SED Designated classroom, Juvenile Hall, day treatment or other equivalent setting.
- Associate's degree in ABA, Psychology, Sociology, or related field with 6 years experience working in group home, hospital, SED Designated classroom, Juvenile Hall, day treatment or other equivalent setting.
- Experience with high intensity maladaptive behavior
Position Requirements:
- Coordinate & provides services to adolescents and children under the supervision of the Head of Services, or his/her designee. This will frequently involve one to one interaction with a specific youth for extended periods of time.
- Participates in emergency calls as needed.
- Works with mental health practitioner of the youths to insure participation in the Coordinated Services Plan.
- Work with mental health practitioner to make referrals to appropriate community agencies based on assessments and Interdisciplinary Team concurrence.
- Prepare verbal reports regarding youth's participation and progress in the program and makes written documentation of the same in the medical record.
- Actively participates in Treatment team meetings and assists in the development of written interdisciplinary Service plan.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative setting
- Experience implementing behavior intervention plans
- Trained in ProAct and CPI
- Clean Criminal Background and DMV Record
- Clinical experience is preferred
- Implement behavior intervention plans
- Assist in training staff & model correct implementation of BIPs
- Work collaboratively with staff and BCBA
- Required to write therapeutic notes
