The Lakes Treatment Center is a residential behavioral health facility primarily treating substance use disorders and co-occurring biomedical and mental health problems located on the waterfront of Lake Tulloch in Northern California. This is a facepaced, but incredibly rewarding, job as we watch residents go from their rock bottom to a new life over the course of successful treatment, often seeing visible improvement each and every day!

Responsibilities:
- Use the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria to explain why resident's do or do not meet ASAM Criteria.
- Complete required documentation including but not limited to Admission Assessments, Biopsychosocial, Outcome Measurement, and Treatment Plans.
- Prepare, facilitate, and complete notes for group sessions with various topics and of various group sizes ranging from 6-30 on average.
- Manage a caseload ranging from 6-10 residents on average, subject to change based on ability and workload.
- Develop and implement treatment plans with individualized goals and objectives based on each resident's strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences.
- Conduct sessions with families, friends, and loved ones as needed.
- Complete discharge and exit planning such as referrals to outside providers, sober living environment, and aftercare.
- Collaborate with the treatment team and other professions to provide comprehensive and integrated care addressing substance use disorders as well as behavioral, biomedical, mental health, spiritual and holistic care treating the whole person.
- Ability to utilize various counseling modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy.
Skills:
- Certified as Counselor with CCAPP, CAADE, or CADTP.
- Experience working with diverse populations and addressing a range of mental health concerns
- Knowledge of evidence-based counseling practices and interventions, specifically ASAM Criteria.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with residents, staff, and treatment team as a whole.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
