Job Summary
- Performs dental sealant and dental prophylaxis procedures, as well as fluoride treatments as needed.
- Works with patients to obtain and inspect dental images.
- Assists in the promotion of dental health programs.
- Conducts dental educational programs.
- Educates patients in sound oral hygiene practices.
- Serves as dental health resource person for nursing staff.
- Conducts dental health educational activities in all types of assemblies.
- Assists with the preparation of dental health educational materials.
- Performs any expanded duty which may be delegated to a certified or registered dental assistant; keeps records and makes reports.
- Graduation from an accredited school of dental hygiene
- 3 years experience as a dental hygienist
- licensed to practice dental hygiene by the State of Tennessee.

Valid class “D” driver’s license, use of personal vehicle, and maintenance of valid personal vehicle insurance as required by Tennessee Law.
