We are currently looking for a Montessori Toddler lead teacher to join our teaching team for the 2024-2025 school year. Located in the beautiful Dilworth neighborhood, just minutes from Southend and Uptown Charlotte, Charlotte Montessori is proud to celebrate 50 years of excellence in early education. We are looking to add a teacher to our incredible teaching team and continue to support our loving families and joyful children.
Candidates must be self-motivated, patient, energetic, and possess a positive attitude. Candidates should be able to demonstrate respect for the child, school, and environment. Hours are generally 7:30am to 4:30pm, five days a week for Lead teachers. Promptness and dependability are a must. Our school year begins in August and ends in July. Start date for a Lead can be flexible between now and the first week of August. Ideal candidates are able to start prior to August to begin training, onboarding, and getting acclimated before the beginning of the new school year.
The candidate must be enthusiastic, self-driven, positive, flexible, and passionate about the Montessori philosophy and working with children. As a lead teacher, you are responsible for creating a challenging and enriching prepared environment that upholds the Montessori philosophy. Good communication and writing skills and ability to work as a team are essential. A bachelor's degree and minimum of two years as a lead teacher is preferred with a strong emphasis on Montessori experience. Primary lead teachers must be Montessori credentialed from a MACT program.
We offer competitive salary, paid vacation days, and additional scheduled paid holiday breaks throughout the year, among other benefits. Lead Teachers range between $38,000-45,000/year based on education, experience, or additional qualifications.
