Bookkeeper
Location: Hatboro
Reports To: Vice-President
Position Summary
The Bookkeeper is responsible for recording daily financial transactions, monitoring cash flow, running payroll, and generating invoices for the companies.
This position has no direct oversight and management of any other positions at this time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Handle all daily accounting tasks
- Communicate with senior management on financial metrics and/or issues
- Manage and oversee daily cash flow tasks and projections
- Manage all AP/AR–monitor AP inboxes, enter bills and create invoices
- Handle all collections issues
- Vendor Management – ensure payments are made timely
- Responsible for generating and reporting of key financial reports and statements
- Complete journal entries, reconciliations, month end closings and monthly financials/notes/projections
- Maintain balance sheet review (and clean up) and formally close the accounting period
- Process periodic weekly payroll, and when needed
- Interface with staff to answer questions about employee benefits
- Manage and track all 401(k) activity
- Maintain employee files
Qualifications and Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience working in similar capacity
- Diverse range of accounting and finance exposure
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel), Google Suite, and experience with accounting software.
- Ability to work closely with management
- Detail oriented, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong written and verbal communication, self-motivated worker
- Organized and flexible, set and meet deadlines, multitask well, and can prioritize competing tasks.
- Environmentally conscientious person with an appreciation for striving towards being enviro-friendly
- Independent, but collaborative, works well independently, but welcome the input of others and adjust as needed, happy to pitch in and help the team meet a collective goal.
