Daylight - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. Required to monitor and maintain all production, support and auxiliary equipment, required for producing tungsten carbide, and record maintenance activities. Understand/interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical drawings and specifications; PLC (Programmable Logic Controls) troubleshooting, Work with live and low/high voltage electrical systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Monitor and maintain daily, weekly, monthly preventative maintenance as required on production equipment, as well as building maintenance.
- Record production, repair, machine maintenance information or repairs performed.
- Works closely with all departments to assure that production's operations run at maximum efficiency and quality, with a minimum of downtime.
- Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs.
- Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.
- Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
- Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
- Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
- Makes checks on all machines and auxiliary equipment in production for safe and efficient operation.
- Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies.
- Clean, lubricate or adjust parts, machinery or machinery according to specified procedures or manufacturers recommendations.
- Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
- Perform and record repairs made to equipment.
- Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment.
- Must have initiative to report or fix, if possible, any potential problems that may arise
- Inventory and requisition machine parts, equipment, and other supplies so that stock can be maintained and replenished.
- Ability to understand basic hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical principles and theory of operation; read and understand prints pertaining to them.
- Insure all mechanical, electrical and hydraulic safeties are working properly and consistently, as determined by OSHA and other government regulations.
- Assemble, repair and maintain physical structures, using hand or power tools.
- Maintaining written records on all work tasks.
- Maintaining machine maintenance records.
- Maintain all tools in good working order.
- Adheres to all quality and safety policies/procedures.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Understanding of residential and industrial electricity (3 phase, low voltage/controls).
- Demonstrated experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controls) troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated experience with hydraulic and pneumatics.
- Demonstrated experience working with live and low/high voltage electrical systems.
- Basic carpentry and plumbing skills
- Must be reliable, responsible, and dependable and fulfilling obligations.
- Must be careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
- Must have willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
