Position Overview
Utilize creativity, organization and attention to detail in designing and producing menu signage/labels, rental lookbooks, and food & beverage displays. Responsible for forecasting, ordering, organization and communication surrounding all event rentals. You will be held accountable to review each BEO and determine the best option for utilizing Roots rental inventory versus outsourcing from another company while staying within budget.
Elevate event experiences by working closely with the Roots Team in order to take a client’s vision and adapt our food and beverage service match. The success of the event will depend on your organizational skills, ability to thrive under pressure and stay positive when challenges arise, all while leading your event staff & communicating with the client and vendors throughout the entire event.
Job Duties
Design and Logistics
- Responsible for the forecasting, ordering, organization and communication surrounding all event rentals.
- Identify serviceware display shortages for upcoming events by forecasting BEOs and provide solutions to replenish inventory
- Support sales team by curating lookbooks for specific full service events that align with client’s wish list items, aesthetic & design, with the intention of producing more revenue & high end events.
- Maintain a catalog of standard and upgraded rentals including visuals and pricing for the sales team to utilize to increase rental revenue.
- Conduct industry research on rentals and design by determining trends and staying familiarized with rental company inventories and new design opportunities to implement.
- Actively ensure Roots retail pricing aligns with the industry standard and maintain while building relationships with local rental companies to ultimately gain additional discounted pricing to improve profit margins, resulting in personal incentive bonuses.
- Maintain warehouse organization on a weekly basis
- Maintain and report on budgets for rental items weekly
- Actively seek a value driven mix of rentals on each event in order to come in under budget.
- Order greenery for food displays weekly.
- Responsible for curating menu signage & labels for each event produced
- Responsible for elevating in house menu design by utilizing Cricket
Event Management
- Attend BEO meetings for briefing on upcoming events
- Create detailed packing lists based on BEO details, venue logistics and chef team needs
- Design, pack, label, and organize all assigned events 48 hours prior to the day of your event. Communicate shortages on any items to management.
- Create a detailed task list specific to your event needs that includes timeline and staff assignments to ensure everyone and everything is in the right place at the right time.
- Arrive to Roots minimum of 2 hours prior to your event leave time, ready to manage all service staff and delegate tasks accordingly
- Communicate clearly with assistant event managers [if applicable] before your departure from the event to ensure a smooth transition
- Complete after action report and bring any issues directly to your manager
Desired Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of experience in event managment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Valid drivers license [Required]

Pay: $58,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
