Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide compassionate care and support to individuals in need. This position offers the opportunity to work in various healthcare settings such as outpatient clinics, teaching hospitals, Level I Trauma Centers, PICUs, ORs, clinics, emergency medicine departments, geriatric units, and hospital medicine departments.
Duties:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and report changes in patient's health status
- Assist with mobility and transfers
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a plus
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in outpatient clinics, teaching hospitals, Level I Trauma Centers, PICUs, ORs, clinics, emergency medicine departments, geriatrics units, or hospital medicine departments is highly desirable.
