Construction Project Engineer

Northwest Based w/ hybrid remote/on location work schedule. Proximity to Bellevue corporate office a plus. Please be open to occasional travel to visit various project locations in Central Washington, Honolulu, and Colorado Springs.

Hadley Properties is a closely held real estate development company with operations in Bellevue and Central Washington, Honolulu, Hawaii and Colorado Springs, CO. We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our team and support a diverse set of upcoming projects. The position will work closely with members of our team across multiple disciplines including design, construction, accounting, and executive reporting.
The right candidate for this position is a process-driven individual with an aptitude for schedule and contract management, procurement, technical thinking, and detailed documentation. You will be acting as a hub for schedule tracking, the dissemination of information, and helping to push the construction schedule to meet key deadlines. Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Interpret construction plans, applicable codes, and specifications
- Develop project plans, including scope, objectives, milestones, and resource allocation
- Engage and support team members to ensure schedule adherence
- Create and maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports
- Monitor project expenses and resource utilization to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints
- Create, manage and distribute contract documents
- Establish handling procedures for electronic documents, including Request for Information (RFI) and correspondence
- Incorporate all processes and procedures that support the project closeout phase
- Ability to closely review project submittals and shop drawings for compliance
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a four-year degree program in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management
- 3+ years construction experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Project and Outlook
- Experience with Bluebeam and design software such as Autocad and Revit
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Efficient communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including third-party vendors, consultants and contractors
