Salary: $70K to $85K (They average 50-55 hours per week and usually work 6 days a week.)
All work in any position on Sundays is automatic double time
All work in any position on holidays is automatic triple time

The Client is a global premium ingredient provider for some of the biggest brand names in the country! We are seeking a production supervisor for our Third Shift Blending Department to run a shift producing different batches of food coatings using breadcrumbs manufactured at the plant. Prior experience in wholesale food manufacturing is a plus! In addition, our production supervisors also monitor the line equipment to ensure all stations are working effectively and efficiently.
- Works under direction of the Production Manager as a staff team member responsible to maintain department production activities, processes, procedures, and employees to meet production and other assigned workload schedules.
- Works closely with lead personnel and other departments on any ingredient issues.
- After review with the Production Manager, plan the department's activities to coordinate production schedules and needs.
- Works closely with all other Supervisors and Managers as warranted.
- People oriented - supports and leads by example. Flexible to meet the needs of business.
- Maintains department to meet customer specifications and schedules.
- Identify root cause of a problem, review with management and implement corrective action.
- Coordinates through Production Manager with QA on any production issues.
- Experienced and displays superior knowledge of ingredients and processes. Professional, is customer focused and results oriented. Able to speak and write, multi-task and add value to Production team.
- Forklift certified - able to operate both stand up and sit-down units.
- Will perform other duties or special projects as needed. May fill in for production manager in his absence under direction of plant manager.
Minimum Qualifications of the Production Supervisor
- High school diploma, some college or advanced courses preferred. Requires a minimum of five (5) years hands-on experience in our production area or related field. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Proven record for quality, safety and attendance policies. Thorough work knowledge of OSHA, company policies and procedures and manufacturing/QA processes.
- Must have solid leadership skills in providing feedback, coaching and know when to escalate to corrective action.
- Professional communication, analytical abilities, organizational skills, interpersonal skills and general knowledge in MS Office, AS400 and Lotus Notes.
