Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our organization, as well as maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word are a must. Construction office and job costs experience is a plus.
Duties:
- Assist with payroll processing, including calculating pay, preparing checks, and submitting payroll reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of payroll transactions, including employee hours, wages, and benefits.
-Weekly Certified payrolls
- File all weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll taxes including city, county and state taxes
- Reconcile payroll accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy
- Solid understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
