Select LTC Pharmacy is the fastest growing provider of hospice pharmacy services in Southern California. Select specializes in promptly delivering medications and medical supplies to hospice patients in their homes and in long term care facilities to ensure our patient base and hospice clients are serviced reliably and well. We are looking for a pharmacy technician focused on data entry. The pharmacy technician will be responsible for processing prescriptions, monitoring and prioritizing the medication dispensing workflow, handling rejected claims/ third party adjudication, and ensuring that orders are processed timely based on delivery timelines.
This position requires excellent data entry skills and attention to detail, knowledge of medications and pharmacy supplies, great customer service both over the phone and via electronic/text messaging, and a high level of professionalism and collaboration.
The ideal candidate should have experience in a hospice and/or long term care (LTC) setting. QS1 and/or Docutrack experience is required for this role.
Responsibilities
- Process and bill prescriptions and supplies
- Administrative tasks (e.g. record-keeping) as assigned
- Third Party adjudication
- Coordinating closely with Select delivery team
- Customer service
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency with QS1 and Docutrack software systems
- Knowledgeable and trained on all medication dispensing processes under the physician dispensing protocol in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Excellent planning and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to communicate and work well with providers, patients and other team members in a professional manner
- Great interpersonal, problem-solving and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, plus a variety of other word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail and presentation software
- Spoken and written fluency in English

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

- LTC pharmacy: 3 years (Preferred)
- pharmacy processing: 3 years (Required)
