Exodus Recovery is looking for LVN's and LPT's for our Golden Gurney Program at our MLK UCC located in Los Angeles for the following shifts:

Job Summary:
The LVN and LPT is a treatment team member who is responsible for providing care to meet the physical and psychological needs of clients through providing direct and indirect services in a manner consistent with Rehabilitation and Recovery principles. Performs comprehensive screening and assessment (if within the scope of practice) services to clients as well as providing education, crisis intervention, and medication services in collaboration with Exodus providers. The LVN and LPT also perform activities that may be carried out only by professional nursing personnel.
- Provides psychiatric and minor medical crisis for clients located on the MLK campus and within 250 yards of the hospital, on the grounds, in the parking lot, and other exterior areas, with shared responsibilities with the MLK hospital.
- Assumes primary responsibility for making psychiatric and medical assessments of clients and for providing medical care within the EMT or nursing scope of practice.
- Provides direct clinical services to a complex group of clients who may have multiple conditions including severe and persistent mental illness, substance use, chronic physical health illness, trauma, homelessness, and/or justice involvement.
- Serves as a staff float to assist the MLK UCC with their patient care activity when there are no campus calls
- Provides transportation as clinically appropriate in the GGT vehicle utilizing a collapsible wheelchair and/or other resources such as a gurney or transport chair.
- Provides warm handoff to other appropriate emergency response or an Emergency Medical Services team and arranges alternative transportation, when transportation by GGT is not possible.
Requirements:
- Two years of experience in crisis intervention or delivery of mental health services in non-traditional settings preferred.
- Currently licensed as an LPT, LVN in California
- Valid CA driver’s license & good driving record is required
- Ability to operate a cell phone, radio, and lap-top computer.
Substance abuse treatment experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong knowledge of therapeutic interventions, assessment, community resources, and crisis intervention skills.
- Current California Licensed LVN, LPT
- Current CPR certification required
