GENERAL MANAGER
Summary
Supply Pro is a division of Taylor Enterprises, Inc. which is a manufacturing business that receives, produces, packages and labels multiple products such as chemicals, antifreeze, lubricants, and windshield wash fluid to customers along the southeast.
Job Responsibilities:
The General Manager position responsibilities include initiating, planning, executing, and controlling product packaging projects to deliver departmental strategic objectives. The General Manager will also participate in cross-functional teams to support new product introductions, structural design optimization and cost out programs. Major tasks in this role include program/project management, strategic sourcing, supplier qualification and management, developing resource planning and budgeting and oversight of staff. As a subject matter expert in packaging/production, this position will also be required to support daily business transactions to resolve packaging deficiencies, supplier quality issues or sourcing cost out. The General Manager will be responsible for complex projects with higher risks and business implications.
Job Description:
- Provide and maintain a safe work environment.
- Manage daily functions performed by location operational and administrative personnel. Includes the organization, delegation and time management of workloads that coincide with corporate objectives.
- Have the ability to promote a team environment that promotes open communication, the sharing of ideas and balanced workloads. Promote the cross training of personnel performing critical functions where possible.
- Manage location assets to include facility, vehicle maintenance and repair as prescribed.
- Manage inventory functions to include purchase order generation, intra-company transfer generation, repackaging, reconciliation, optimum stocking levels and month end inventory closing activities as established.
- Document and communicate issues to appropriate personnel as established.
- Assure facility complies with standards established by local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assure facility personnel are knowledgeable and trained to comply with policies, procedures and regulations established by SupplyPro, SupplyPro suppliers, SupplyPro customers, the Department of
- Transportation, or other governing entities that affect SupplyPro’s ability to do business.
- Provide a high level of customer service and professionalism through appearance, mannerisms, attention to customer needs, maintaining customer inventory levels as required and representing
- SupplyPro in a positive fashion at all times.
Requirements:
- Have the ability to read and write legibly as well as interpret and follow oral and written communications.
- Possess communication skills necessary for effective employee training, customer interaction, vendor relations and intra-company communications.
- Proficiency using required computer programs to include company specified operating system, e-mail
- (Microsoft Outlook) and applicable Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).
- Possess a valid driver license and maintain a clean driving record that qualifies them to be insurable under SupplyPro’s insurance carrier’s policy.
- Strong analytical skills to effectively identify and resolve problems.

- 4-year college degree
