A science teacher or specialized high school teacher educates middle school students to prepare them for secondary school or the workforce. Their primary duties include planning and instructing lessons, assessing and supporting students’ strengths and weaknesses, and adapting and enforcing classroom policies. Must be licensed by PELSB or be able to obtain a state license.
Science teacher duties and responsibilities
A capable science teacher has many duties and tasks to attend to each day. They are primarily responsible for providing education to students through daily tasks such as:

- Enforcing classroom management and school administrative policies
- Assessing and accommodating students’ learning needs and styles
- Using technology to deliver lessons and other educational materials
- Communicating effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Preparing students for standardized science and post-secondary entrance tests
- Grading student's assignments, tests and exams
