This position is responsible for ordering, receiving, storing and issuing parts, equipment and other items from the parts room. Keep records and compile parts reports. General office duties including answering the telephones, filing, computer work and customer service relations

Essential Job Functions:
- Receive and count stock items and record data manually or using computer
- Handle and maintain stock in parts room
- Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors
- Store items in an organized and accessible manner in the parts room
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools or other labeling equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations by maintaining a clean and orderly parts room
- Determine proper storage methods, identifications and part locations
- Return of damaged or defective items to the vendors
- Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures and goods used or issued
- Issue or distribute parts and supplies to coworkers based on information from incoming work orders
- Disposal of excess, defective or obsolete stock
- Answer telephone dealing directly with customers and vendors
- Schedule regular and maintenance service with customers
- Complies with all safety, DOT and OSHA guidelines
- Adhere to company rules and regulations
- Ensure cleanliness of shop and surrounding areas.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of general office administration or parts inventory control required.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Ability to work independently, developing people skills, organizational skills.
- Good writing and speaking skills required.
- Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold temperatures
