Elvira is owned by the same group of individuals who created the successful, Michelin Bib Gourmand, Cesarina Restaurant in Point Loma.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
We are looking for someone who will have the patience, personality, and perseverance to thrive in this role. Bartender responsibilities include greeting and serving guests, providing detailed information on menus, multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties, and collecting the bill. To be a successful Bartender you should be polite with your guests and make sure they enjoy their meals. You should also be a team player and be able to effectively communicate with our Kitchen Staff to make sure orders are accurate and delivered promptly.
- Greeting guests and taking drink and food orders- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as ordered, in a timely manner, and compliance with company standards
- Staying attentive to the needs of guests in the dining area- Delivering food from the kitchen and drinks from the bar to the guests- Ensuring the food order is made correctly by kitchen staff and looks presentable for guests- Following health code standards with regards to the handling of food- Performing shift duties like delivering racks of cups to the service station, rolling silverware, pre-bussing tables, wiping tables and removing debris, and more
REQUIREMENTS
2 years experience as a server team player with good communication skillsPatient with an ability to stay positive under pressureVery good physical condition and endurance high school diploma is a plus

- 1 Full Weekend Day Availability (Saturday or Sunday)

- FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT - we require a minimum of 5 day availability of which at least:
- Open Weekend Availability (Saturday or Sunday)
- 3 Full Week Day Availability (Monday to Friday)

Elvira is a Great Grand-Mother who nurtures her family and community with her food and hospitality. To sit at her dinner table is to know the true foundation of Roman authentic cuisine. Coming together and being surrounded by people you love to share delicious food prepared with the same love and care that only a Great GrandMother can offer! This is the experience that we strive to bring to our guests. Newlyweds Niccolo and Cesarina moved to San Diego and began crafting fresh pasta (making fresh craft pasta?) at local farmers' markets. Together with their longtime friend Giuseppe, an Italian native who also shares the same vision and passion, five years ago, they opened Cesarina. After their first restaurants incredible success (Michelin Bib Gourmand) they felt the need to add an even bigger part of their culture to OB. Following the need to fill a void for authentic Roman food and delicious pizza, they decided to launch Elvira. At Elvira we pride ourselves on making everything (yes, everything!) in house and from scratch with only the best ingredients, providing service that is both comforting and humbly tailored to each guest, and giving our family on this side of the world a real taste of authentic Roman cuisine. We have just opened at the end of 2023 and are eager to build a talented team, hungry for success and recognition to make Elvira the other best Italian restaurant in San Diego, right next to Elvira!
