We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Erosion Control/Reclamation Foreman to join our team.
Job Description:
As an Erosion Control/Reclamation Foreman, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing erosion control projects to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and client specifications. You will lead a team of skilled workers, coordinate with project managers, and implement effective erosion control measures to protect soil and water resources on our landscaping projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the installation, maintenance, and inspection of erosion control measures such as silt fences, sediment basins, erosion control blankets, and other BMPs (Best Management Practices).
- Conduct site assessments to identify erosion issues and develop comprehensive erosion control plans.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and regulatory agencies to ensure projects meet all environmental and safety standards.
- Train and mentor crew members on erosion control techniques and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to erosion control measures on-site.
- Ensure all equipment and materials are used efficiently and maintained properly.
- Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns and provide project updates.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in erosion control, landscaping, or a related field, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- CDL is not required but is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of erosion control techniques, soil stabilization methods, and environmental regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
- Proficiency in using project management software and tools. Bid 2 Win proficiency is a plus.
- Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) or similar certification is preferred.
- OSHA Safety Certification and CPR/First Aid Certification are a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record.
- Reliable transportation.
