**Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess a strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
**Duties:**
- Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations and procedures
- Administer medications under provider supervision
- Record patient information in electronic health records
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Ensure a clean and organized clinical environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
**Qualifications:**
- Certification or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation
- Experience working in various medical settings such as hospitals, urgent care, or internal medicine practices
- Knowledge of basic life support techniques
- Ability to work with diverse patient populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients
- Strong understanding of physiology and medication administration
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care
**Preferred Skills:**
- Experience in geriatrics, PICU, urgent care, or internal medicine settings
- Familiarity with electronic health records systems
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective patient communication
