Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform dental charting and record patient information in medical records
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Maintain a clean and organized dental operatory
- Follow strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
- Assist with dental lab tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Dental assisting certification or relevant experience
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures
- Proficiency in medical coding and documentation systems
- Familiarity with dental x-ray techniques and safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and team members
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
