- Strategic Sourcing:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for software products and services.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, and manage supplier relationships to ensure optimal performance.
Contract Negotiation and Management:
- Lead contract negotiations with software vendors to secure the best terms and pricing.
- Ensure all contracts are compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and monitor contract performance, addressing any issues that arise.
Procurement Process Management:
- Oversee the entire procurement process, from requisition to payment.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of software products and services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation.
Supplier Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key software suppliers.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and implement improvement plans as necessary.
- Address and resolve any supplier-related issues promptly.
Budget and Cost Management:
- Monitor and manage software procurement budgets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
- Provide regular reports on procurement activities and financial performance.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with software procurement.
- Stay informed about changes in the software market and regulatory environment.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including IT, finance, and legal departments, to understand and meet their software procurement needs.
- Provide guidance and support to junior procurement team members.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years focused on software procurement.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the software market, including licensing models, pricing strategies, and key vendors.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Certifications: Relevant procurement or software-related certifications are advantageous.

Target compensation for the Senior Procurement Specialist - Software is $100,000 - $130,000 base salary + bonus.
