Industrial Maintenance Mechanics are needed in Lawrenceville Pittsburgh on a direct hire basis with benefits and over $2,000 in bonuses.
Flexibility to work a 12-hour rotating shift plus OT and weekends as needed.
Starting Pay: up to $27/hr. plus shift differential
Must pass a drug test and background check.
We are looking for skilled Maintenance Technicians / Mechanics who have experience with industrial and manufacturing equipment maintenance. Security and safety are top priorities in this steel foundry manufacturing plant.
Responsibilities of Maintenance Technician/ Mechanic:
- Inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust and maintain all mechanical equipment in the steel foundry environment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed repair drawings related to manufacturing equipment and machinery
- Dismantle equipment when required for repair or transportation and reassemble it at the appropriate time
- Move equipment to appropriate site for repair or maintenance to avoid contamination or workplace safety hazards
- Align and calibrate machinery and equipment parts as required for efficient and safe operation
- Grind, file and weld machinery parts both on-site and in controlled circumstances
- Replace defective parts of a machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
- Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
- Test unit to evaluate its mechanical operation.
- Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
- Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
Requirements of Maintenance Technician / Mechanic:
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Basic computer and communications skills needed.
Equipment Selection -- Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
Repairing -- Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
Troubleshooting -- Determining causes of operating errors and decision making.
Equipment Maintenance -- Performing routine and preventative maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
Operation Monitoring -- Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
