Job Summary:
Stepping Stones is seeking a hardworking, experienced, professional dedicated to the early childhood field. This fulltime position will assist with the support and development of the staff, program and management of our non-profit childcare center. Excellent leadership, supervisory, organizational, computer and communication skills as well as at least 1 year experience working in a childcare center required. A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field and administrative experience preferred.

Required Qualifications: Excellent leadership, interpersonal, organizational, supervisory, computer and communication skills as well as knowledge of growth and development of children age birth to eleven years. Minimum 1 year experience working/teaching in a childcare center. Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications: BA or BGS in Early Childhood Education or a child related field. Previous administrative experience.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to complete the duties of a teacher.
Duties: Plays a key role in supporting the Director in managing and overseeing the daily operations of the center. This includes:
- Assists the Director in decision making, problem-solving, developing and implementing plans to achieve organizational goals and to maintain quality
- Hires, manages, trains and educates staff on policies and best practices
- Supports and collaborates with staff and parents to ensure effective communication
- Maintains databases, files and social media sites
- Designs, copies and posts fliers for upcoming events
- Answers the phone, greets visitors and other public relations
- Assists with enrollment and financial management processes
- Covers for staff in the classroom, kitchen and driving the bus on occasion
- Assist in creating a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and the growth and development of children and staff
- Assumes the Director’s responsibilities in her absence

Pay: $38,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
