Opportunity Awaits at Shelly Leeke Law Firm
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Office Manager to join our team. As the Office Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our office, ensuring efficiency and productivity. This is a key role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The right person will be located in our Columbia office but handle oversight in some areas for our Greenville office as well.
This is a position for someone who is looking for a long-term commitment with opportunities to grow.
Responsibilities:
- Review, approve and manage timecard approvals for hourly team members in Columbia and Greenville offices for biweekly payroll processing.
- Maintain PTO calendar of hourly team members in Columbia and Greenville to ensure offices are staffed during business hours.
- Update daily out-of-office report for corporate offices for all team members in the Columbia and Greenville offices.
- Assist Human Resource Department with new hire on boarding of Columbia and Greenville offices to ensure firm policy and procedures as listed in the handbook are understood. Ensure new hire documents are sent to the firm’s corporate office in a timely manner.
- Assists with human resource management as needed including scheduling interviews.
- Assist team members with benefit questions and act as liaison between off site offices and corporate Human Resources Department.
- Assist any employees struggling in their roles. Refer as needed to Human Resource department for additional training or disciplinary action.
- Report on office progress to Management and work to improve office operations and procedures.
- Assist in planning and overseeing employee recognition events.
- Maintain a list of providers for Columbia and Greenville offices and ensure our clients are receiving appropriate care.
- Maintains a professional and positive work environment by facilitating effective communication and sharing information among staff.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Office Manager or similar role
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in calendar management software and other office productivity tools
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Education & Experience:
- Associates degree (2-year degree) (preferred)
- At least 5 years of advanced administrative office work (required)
- Proficiency in MS Office (required)
- Previous experience within a law firm setting a plus.
PAY WILL BE BASED ON EXPERIENCE
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
