Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must have knowledge of the 6400 and 6100 regulations
- Must have two years’ experience working with IDD population
The responsibilities of the Residential Coordinator include but are not limited to:
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
- Ensure grocery shopping is completed for the sites
- Ensure there is an appropriate weekly/monthly menu for the individuals that is based individual preferences, likes, and dislikes
- Responsible for ensuring physical site compliance
- Responsible for training new and existing direct support professionals on job functions and work-related duties
- Manage and support direct support professionals
- Responsible to work in conjunction with the Program Specialist to maintain compliance with all medical appointments and follow up
- Attend medical appointments as needed
- Create and manage household training binders
- Responsible to create weekly activity calendars and menus for the individuals based upon likes, dislikes, and preferences
- Responsible to review all in home documentation to assure compliance on a weekly basis
- Must assist with emergencies as needed
- Must participate in ISP, team, BSC, or any other meetings involving the care of the individual
- Must distribute and collect monthly paperwork prepared by the Program Specialists to the sites
- Must establish and maintain relationships with families, Supports Coordinators, Behavior Specialist, other organizations, and county agencies.
- Work as a direct care worker as needed
- Responsible to ensure that furnace inspections are kept up to date
- Responsible to ensure that fire extinguisher inspections are kept up to date
- Maintain the agency’s equipment in the homes. This includes notifying agency’s administration of maintenance needs at the home and for the home’s vehicle including coordinating service appointments (if applicable)
- Replace batteries and lightbulbs in remotes, fixtures, and other appropriate items/areas as needed
- Interact with agency’s administrative staff on a regular basis to provide appropriate updates.
