We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual for this Entry Level Safety Coordinator position. This role will provide essential support to our safety management team, assisting in the implementation and maintenance of our safety programs and protocols. The successful candidate will have a passion for safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Location: Thomaston, GA
Salary: $18 - $23 /hour (starting pay is based on experience)
Job Type: Full-time Monday- Friday 8am-5pm (On call for Nights & Weekends)

EHS Coordinator Responsibilities:
Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety policies and procedures.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Participate in safety training sessions for employees, providing guidance on best practices and safety protocols.
Collaborate with department managers to address safety concerns and develop corrective action plans as needed.
Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, near misses, and corrective actions taken.
Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and recommending preventive measures.
Stay informed about changes in safety regulations and industry best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
EHS Coordinator Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (candidates nearing completion of their degree will also be considered), or related work experience.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Prior experience in a safety-related role or internship (preferred but not required).
