INVISTA is looking for a Souring and Contract Manufacturing Manager to join our Downstream Business team. The location for this position is open to the Kennesaw, GA office (175 Townpark Drive, Kennesaw, GA 30114) and North America Operations Sites. This position will be responsible for sourcing the direct strategic raw materials and managing relationships with the suppliers of these materials. Additional responsibilities are managing outsourced contract manufacturing and identifying any new third-party partners as needed. This role is a part of the cross functional team comprised of Strategic Buyers, Materials Resource Planning Coordinators, Site Operations and Quality and will report through the Procurement and Sourcing Organization.
What You Will Do
- Build and maintain technical understanding of the products, services purchased, and supplier capabilities
- Build detailed understanding of each raw material: using site(s) - where it's used, product(s) - how it's used, quantities, packaging types, minimum order quantities, shelf life, etc.
- Develop risk-based supply strategies for each raw material and/or contracted service
- Lead a cross functional team to optimize the supply chain for strategic raw materials that aligns with the risk-based strategy
- Manage the relationship with strategic raw material vendors and contract third-party partners to ensure a quality, competitive, reliable supply for INVISTA
- Assist the Sites with driving Root Cause investigations and Corrective Actions with suppliers and third-party partners
- Identify new sources of raw materials and/or contracted services and work with Business teams to gain approval for use through the appropriate management of change approval process
- Strive to improve and increase the efficiency of the strategic raw material supply chain by collaborating with cross functional teammates
- Consistently display a continuous improvement focus on improving efficiency, flexibility, and product quality with suppliers and with internal work partners
- Support the using Sites by participating in quality and supplier audits and activities
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Third-Party Management and/or other Commercial Roles
- Efficient in the Microsoft Office Suite or Office 365
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and external third-party partners
- Ability to travel up to 15% as required
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, or similar discipline
- 5 years of experience in petrochemical, plastics, or fibers manufacturing and/or management with familiarity to industry standard products and processes
- Experience establishing and managing third-party relationships
- Experience establishing contracts with third-party partners
