We are looking for an experienced Prep/Line Cook to join our team at our quick service and fast food restaurant. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, a passion for food preparation, and an eye for detail. The Prep/Line Cook will be responsible for ensuring that all food items are prepared according to recipes and specifications, as well as adhering to health and safety standards.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow recipes to prepare a variety of carbs (rice, noodles, bread, salad) and proteins (pork, beef, poultry, tofu) and other food items for cooking ovens, stoves, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
- Understand and prepare food per order tickets accurately and timely.
- Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
- Know and comply consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
- Portion food products according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, fryers, sauté burners, convection oven, freezer and refrigeration equipment.
- Follow proper presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
- Handle, store and rotate all products properly using First In First Out (FIFO) principles.
- Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as assigned by Line Supervisor.
- Perform dishwashing of the utensils, cookware, and cooking equipment used in their own shift.
- Open/close the kitchen properly according to checklists.
PAY:
- $19 - $21 (depending on experience) plus tips!
SHIFTS:
- Multiple shifts available. Schedule is 4 -5 days per week and includes at least Saturday or Sunday (only 8 hour shifts on Sat/Sun)
- Shift 1: 7:00am - 2:30pm
- Shift 2: 11:00am - 8:30pm
- Shift 3: 3:30pm - 8:30pm
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Food Handler Card
- 1 Year experience in similar capacity
- Be able to stand long periods of time
