Managing and overseeing daily operations within the department
Meeting customer and company KPI's and SLA's on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis
Facilitating effective Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis as needed
Training, monitoring, evaluating, supervising and disciplining employees based on goals and duties
Verifying employee time/payroll information and authorize overtime
Assisting in managing department workforce, reinforcing company policy and procedure and establishing and maintaining healthy working relationship across the organization- Showing initiative and making suggestions for improving processes
- Assisting with planning and budget process
- Working in a fast paced environment handling multiple tasks with complex deadlines
- Communicating with customers, vendors and employees
- Coordinating with other departments within the company
- Overseeing all LTL/Drayage operations
- Ensuring that all customer IRG requirements are met
- Able to make quick and precise decisions
- Work well with high number of seasonal temporary employees
Must have experience in working with drivers.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

3+ years Supervision of associates
-
Previous production & manufacturing experience
-
2+ years of LTL experience in inbound/outbound & dispatching

Knowledge of Excel, Word, Office

Strong written/oral communications kills

Problem solving capabilities.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Must demonstrate ownership & responsibility to run the operation with a sense of urgency.
