Job Summary:
The Project Engineer is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. They plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way.
The Project Engineer ensures the design, consistency, and functionality of a project throughout its entire process by managing the team. They prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor all assigned projects and communicate during daily interactions with clients to interpret requirements and needs.
Project engineers communicate with the members of the team to provide any necessary assistance or technical support. They review the engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions throughout the duration of the project.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Create and update company project schedule.
· Interview mechanical, electrical, purchasing and lead machine builder in order to update schedule.
· Work with management to set project priorities.
· Hold a mandatory weekly meeting to review schedule with above mentioned staff.
· Issue schedule as required.
Customer Concept Drawings
· Work with Account Managers to develop proposal drawings
· Create proposal drawings in AutoCAD
Drawing Checking
· Check, when required mechanical detail, assembly drawings, general arrangement drawings
Operator and Maintenance Manuals
· Create manuals as required for issuance to customers.
· Work from a standard template to create said manuals.
Project Management
· Coordinate internal and external kickoff meeting(s)
· Coordinate with end users and staff on project management items.
· Ensure project is on time, on budget and made to Innovative Quality Standards
· Co-Host with Account Manager any visits with customer.
· Responsible that punch lists are generated and completed.
· Ensure that all aspects of the contract have been satisfied by Innovative.
· Responsible that As-built drawings are complete.
· Ensure Risk Assessment Review, if applicable has been completed.
· Ensure Equipment Check Sheet is completed prior to shipment
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Ability to manage multiple projects with the flexibility of adapting to changing priorities
· Demonstrated leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent communication skills
· Demonstrated self-starter and independent worker
· Must be effective and comfortable in team-oriented environment
· 15 to 20 % travel
· Ability to be proficient at Word, Excel, AutoCAD and Microsoft Schedule, and email
Education and Experience:
· BS in Mechanical Engineering or appropriate major recommended
· At least three years of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
