We are a manufacturer’s representative located just one mile off I85 in Charlotte, NC. We have been in business for 50 years serving customers in North and South Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee.
We are looking for a responsible Administrative/ Accounting Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties will include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office and warehouse needs and managing our company’s general accounting activities. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools like, MS Excel, Access and Word and Sage 50.
This position will require time in a shop and warehouse for organization, inventory and shipping/handling. Ability and/or willingness to operate a forklift is a plus; training provided.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Process, invoice and collect on completed work
- Monthly inventory of supplies, parts and equipment
- Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
- Develop and maintain a filing system
- Update and maintain accounts
- Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers
- Maintain contact lists
- Provide general support to visitors
Skills
- Proven experience as an administrative accountant or office admin assistant
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Access, in particular), as well as accounting software such as Sage or QuickBooks
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- High School diploma; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant/accountant will be a plus; 2 or 4 year degree in accounting will be a plus

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
