Looking for a passionate, patient and professional SLP to provide therapeutic services for children with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, developmental disabilities and disorders of relating and communicating in a family-centered environment. Services are delivered in clinic-based and natural environments. Looking for an SLP that is eager to provide direct services to children and families in Cook and Lake counties, as well as facilitate social groups and dyads. Team collaboration a must as well as conducting evaluations. Experience with ASD population preferred as well as experience with a wide range of treatment strategies. Experience with high-tech and low-tech Augmentative Alternative Communication systems is preferred. Good communication skills, comfort in administering assessments and note taking, writing evaluations, providing feedback to families and school staff are responsibilities for this role. Experience in understanding sensory profiles and strategies also preferred. Crisis intervention training a plus. Weekend and evening availability is also a plus!
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Position Requirements:
Masters Degree from an ASHA accredited program
Experience working with children 0-8 years of age
Active license issued by IDFPR
Illinois Early Intervention credential a plus
Feeding experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of child development
Driver's license, a personal vehicle with proof of insurance
