This position provides general and basic supervisory oversight for the care and management of residents in our community , including aides during these hours. At present the company has 110 hours of nursing per week on hand. Company is seeking to hire a combination of new full ad part time nurses adding upto 58 hours/week. A total of 168 hours/week, should provide a coverage for 24/7. Position acts as a floor nurse within the parameters of EOEA regulations of Mass assisted living. Applicant must be willing to do some skilled care items now allowed for ALRs, including LMA, and not limited to, the application or replacement of simple non-sterile dressing, the application of eye drops, the application of ointments, the management of oxygen on regular and continuing basis and injections as per EOEA Waiver Extension Notification, dated 5-11-2024.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The following essential functions are the fundamental job duties of the position to be completed with or without appropriate reasonable accommodation.
· Ensure appropriate staffing is on shift when you arrive.
· Read report from previous shift.
· Check to make sure there are no voicemails throughout the day.
· Check communication logs – both Assisted Living and Memory Care.
· Assist with supervising the Resident Care Associates with the SAMM medication program.
· Administer all LMA medications as ordered.
· Reconcile all medication deliveries.
· Order medications for residents as needed.
· Assist with change over at the end and beginning of each month.
· File old med sheets, ADL sheets and hourly checks in monthly binders.
· Supervise Resident Care Associates and ensure they are completing their charting.
· Complete assessments and service plans as they come up.
· Complete Intro visits after any change in resident’s condition or services.
· Go over Intro visits with Resident Care Associates. Ensure Resident Care Associates are signing intro visits and a nurse is signing next to them.
· Complete progress/nurse notes on resident’s as needed and required.
· Complete monthly notes as assigned.
· Maintain positive relations with the residents, their families and physicians.
· Report any significant incidents and/or changes in the residents’ condition or needs to the Executive Director, Resident Care Director and/or Memory Care Director, as appropriate.
· Supervise medical events (falls, ill and out to hospital, etc.) and complete Incident reports as necessary.
· Communicate with doctor offices, families, outside service providers and pharmacies as needed.
· Assist in the training of Resident Care Assistants and in the orientation of new staff.
· Attend and participate in scheduled in-service programs, training programs and staff meetings.
· Assist with supporting and leading Resident Care Assistants with clinical questions.
· Complete report at end of shift and email to all nursing staff.
· Work weekends and holidays as required.
· May perform other duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
· Must have a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license with a current and valid Massachusetts license in good standing.
· Licensed per state guidelines.
· Must successfully complete all Giving Tree Senior Living specified training programs.
· Able to apply common sense strategies to resolve any issues that may arise within the scope of responsibilities assigned, and to report issues outside of that scope to the Resident Care Director and/or the Memory Care Director.
· Able to work various shifts and schedules as needed.
Physical Demands:
· Physically able to move 50 lbs. without assistance.
· Physically able to bend, reach, and work in small areas.
· Physically able to push and pull equipment and furnishings.

Pay: $39.00 - $42.00 per hour
