TITLE: STAFF ENGINEER
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: The position requires professional licensure and a minimum of 4 years of experience.
EDUCATION: 4-5 year degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited ABET College/University is strongly preferred, but not required.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Successful candidates are expected to coordinate project teams in all project related tasks including production efforts, quality control, specifications, construction drawings, submittals and construction administration.
The Staff Engineer position carries out the project design aspects as they relate to civil engineering applications. This may include, but is not limited to, utility design (i.e. storm and sanitary sewage systems, potable water systems, etc.), hydrology analysis, grading and earthwork design and general site development engineering applications. This involves design and administrative work, as well as production of design into documentation as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS: We are looking for team players who are familiar with the needs of public agencies and educational institutions. The ideal candidate will have solid design and hand graphics coupled with a working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to multi-task are required. Candidate should possess critical thinking skills and have an understanding of construction sequencing and material detailing. Specifically for civil engineer roles, candidates must have experience producing post-construction stormwater management plans and report writing for such plans.

We offer a hybrid schedule where you can elect to work remotely and are also expected to go into the Santa Clara office 2 days per week. This candidate should reside in Santa Clara County.
