Job Summary
The Housekeeping Manager reports to the Executive Housekeeper and is responsible for supervising the performance of room attendants, general cleaning and take appropriate action to correct deficient conditions, behavior, and work practices. The Housekeeping Manager plays a pivotal role in upholding our commitment to excellence in cleanliness and ensuring the highest standards of service. You will lead by example, inspire and motivate your team to deliver outstanding customer service to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the housekeeping staff; providing open communication, training, coaching and counseling and providing performance feedback to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Assure that housekeeping staff follows established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies at all times.
- Communicate with other departments to plan and coordinate Housekeeping/Laundry services for activities/events.
- Seek out new methods and principles to incorporates into existing Housekeeping practices.
- Step in to support the housekeeping team when needed to help clean rooms, laundry, and general housekeeping.
- Develop and maintains written policy and procedures for housekeeping and laundry services and activities with other related units.
Qualifications
- 2 or more years’ experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager preferably in a boutique hotel or resort property.
- Professional knowledge of sanitation, cleaning equipment, and cleaning products and their safe and proper use.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
