The Moorings at Lewes is a Springpoint Senior Living Community located in Lewes, DE. Springpoint’s Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the overall daily operations and upkeep of the community in the areas of maintenance, housekeeping, grounds, safety, and security.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, and direct the maintenance of the facility and grounds.
- Recruit, interview, select and hire any personnel within the housekeeping, maintenance, and security departments.
- Maintain written position descriptions and administer performance appraisals for all staff.
- Plan, prepare and track budget for all areas, including staff equipment, supplies and capital requests. Forecast future physical plant renovations, changes, needs.
- Maintain current written records of all area expenditures and ensure adequate financial records and cost reports and projections are submitted for review. Make departmental financial adjustments as necessary.
- Plan and recommend development of the physical plant.
- Interview each contractor to receive and analyze bids, including blueprint analysis of proposed changes or modifications.
- Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program for the physical plant and equipment.
- Supervise safety, fire protection and prevention programs through regular inspections and provide training programs as needed.
- Supervise Inspection and maintenance of the grounds of the facility, including general cleanup of the front walkways, side entrances, etc.
Education and Experience:
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 3 years maintenance experience
- Experience working in an LTC/Hospital setting preferred
