The Marcann Group is a small business in Phoenix, AZ. Our goal is to provides the highest quality mental health services to adults in the Phoenix Metro and surrounding area. We utilize psychotherapy, medications, and alternative therapies to improve overall mental health and function in people with mental disorders. We take our care to the patient, visiting them in Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living, Memory Care Units, and Group Homes.
Job Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar using current systems
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient demographics, insurance information, and medical history
- Process Medical records requests
- Complete prior authorizations (Pharmacy and Medical). Facilitate referrals when ordered by provider.
- Interact with pharmacies regarding patient concerns, medication issues, and refills.
- Arranges Laboratory services
- Answer messages and tasks in a timely manner; address prescriptions when ordered by providers.
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions and concerns promptly and effectively
- Coordinate and effectively manage the offices which includes ordering supplies, manage the computers and phones for all the providers, manage e-clinicals and train new providers on how to use the current system
- Managing patients, verifying insurance, entering and creating new charts in e-clinicals, collecting copays, managing patients' grievances
- Coordinate all clinical issues that arise.
- Act as a back-up to our credentialing associate
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and schedule follow-up appointments
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- Ability to quickly and effectively work in a busy medical office.
- Computer savvy and needs minimal supervison
- A self-starter and problem solver
- Experience working as a medical receptionist in a busy medical office
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and record keeping
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED or higher required.
- Three years of experience working in healthcare, medical, or hospital office environment required.
- Three years of experience working in a mental health facility is highly preferred
- Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
