POSITION PURPOSE
At Bayport Laboratories, the Production Manager for the Liquid and powder Department is involved with planning, coordination, and control of manufacturing processes of powders and liquids. The Production Manager ensures that goods are produced efficiently, production schedules are followed, and costs are kept within target.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Coordinate production processes and ensure that all batches are produced following cGMP
- Ensure that activities performed at production of powders and liquids are documented as indicated in the Bayport Laboratories Standard Operating Procedures
- Propose production schedules to ensure efficiency and meeting of customers’ timelines.
- Participate in the scale up of the new projects and formulas.
- Supervise and motivate employees
- Review workers’ performance
- Support implementation of cGMP
- Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
- Work with Quality Assurance Unit to identify and correct problems that may lead to non -conforming product
- Responsible for maintaining the integrity and performance of the Bayport Laboratory Water System
- Works with management and other departments to coordinate production schedules
- Assist on manufacturing processes as needed
- Participate in hiring of production personnel
- Participate in On Job training of Production Personnel
- Participate in team meetings
- Conducts risk assessment and implement corrective actions
- Utilize Hands on approach in performing all functions
- Educate production employees on preventing work related health problems and perform EHS training
- Ensure compliance with EHS procedures
- Responsible for identifying and remediating hazardous workplace conditions
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- BS or MS degree in Chemistry, Biology, Cosmetic Science
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- Understanding of production standards and procedures
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Proficiency in developing and delivering GMP training
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Cosmetic manufacturing
