We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Immigration Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in immigration law, programmatic and/or budgetary management, document review, postgraduate direct service delivery work with youth and trauma-informed care, and legal case management. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) on a variety of immigration matters.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage Immigration Legal Services to ensure work products and deliverables for compliance.
- Supervise and work with senior staff to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee direct implementation of project deliverables.
- Monitor cases and ensures that all tasks are completed, and deadlines met.
- Maintain current knowledge of all relevant laws, policies, and procedures related to immigration law, child migrants/unaccompanied children.
- Act as Point of Contact and liaison for stakeholders on programmatic questions regarding referring cases for representation.
- Work collaboratively with the team to assist in identifying training needs for legal service providers and informing training and technical assistance development and implementation.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited educational institution.
- Active license to practice law (ESQ).
- Six (6) years of experience practicing Immigration Law.
- Three (3) years of experience in programmatic and/or budgetary management.
- Three (3) years of experience in postgraduate direct service delivery work with youth and trauma-informed care.
- Bilingual, Spanish speaking.
