Job Description:
The Program Specialist at ACR plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of our services. This role focuses on creating care plans, addressing client and staff issues, managing field employees, handling incident reports, enhancing our programs, implementing quality control metrics to monitor client progress, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. Offering a hybrid work model, with three days of remote work (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) and two days in the field (Tuesday and Thursday), this position balances flexibility with the necessary on-site engagement to meet with clients (flexible).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, evaluate, and oversee care plans for clients in the ODP (Office of Developmental Programs) and OLTL (Office of Long-Term Living) programs, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and address individual needs thoroughly.
- Serve as a point of contact for client and employee inquiries, complaints, or issues, providing prompt resolutions and fostering positive relationships.
- Implement and enforce disciplinary actions for staff as necessary, maintaining compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Conduct incident reporting and investigations, documenting outcomes and initiating corrective measures to prevent future issues.
- Manage the unemployment portal, addressing actions including appeals and maintaining accurate records.
- Coordinate the hiring process for Personal Care Assistants (PCA) and Direct Support Professionals (DSP), organizing interviews and facilitating onboarding.
- Engage in outreach to stakeholders to identify new opportunities for program growth and collaboration.
- Assist/Manage maintaining compliance efforts relating to various MCOs, and organzitions under Department of Human Services
- Generate and distribute a monthly newsletter to stakeholders, highlighting program updates, achievements, and advice for caregivers.
- Assist in integrating new staff by providing necessary training and support, ensuring they become effective team members.
- Perform field visits to clients, addressing care concerns, conducting assessments, and providing support, while implementing and monitoring quality control metrics to track client progress effectively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in program management or a related role, with a strong focus on working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Excellent supervisory skills, capable of leading and motivating a team towards achieving program objectives.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective programs tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Experience in budgeting and financial management to ensure program sustainability and growth.
- Exceptional communication and relationship management skills to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including clients, families, and community partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, database management systems, Google Workspace (including Google Drive, Gmail), and Salesforce, highlighting the need for tech-savvy candidates.
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices is a significant plus, enhancing the program's ability to offer comprehensive support.
- Professional demeanor, demonstrating a compassionate and client-centered approach to service delivery, with a valid driver's license and dependable transportation for field visits.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
