Job Description: As an HVAC Dispatcher, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our HVAC technicians are efficiently scheduled and dispatched to service calls. You will be responsible for coordinating schedules, communicating with customers, and supporting our technicians to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently schedule and dispatch HVAC technicians to service calls based on priority, location, and technician availability.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with customers regarding service appointment times, delays, and any necessary updates.
- Monitor technician progress throughout the day to ensure timely completion of service calls.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Utilize Service Titan dispatch software and other tools to manage schedules, track work orders, and update customer information.
- Handle emergency service calls and dispatch technicians promptly.
- Provide support to technicians in the field by relaying important information and troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, technician schedules, and customer interactions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in dispatching, preferably in the HVAC industry.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, terminology, and service procedures.
- Service Titan experience a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and effectively.
- Proficiency in using dispatch software and other relevant computer applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in HVAC or related fields is a plus.
