Realization Center was founded in 1984 and is the oldest and largest free-standing private substance abuse treatment center in Manhattan and Brooklyn. It's a unique, comprehensive outpatient program with a multi-disciplinary treatment team. Serving a wide range of clients from LTBGQ+, Adolescents, and Adults with substance use/abuse disorders including dual diagnosis in our successful and fast-paced, and growing center.

Front Desk Receptionist: Join our dynamic team at a thriving Outpatient Treatment Center as a Front Desk Receptionist. Your welcoming demeanor and exceptional organizational skills will play a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our clients.
Essential Duties
- Client Engagement: Create a warm and inviting atmosphere by greeting clients upon their arrival, making them feel valued and comfortable.
- Telephone Management: Professionally answer and route calls to the appropriate personnel, serving as the first point of contact for inquiries.
- Appointment Coordination: Efficiently check in clients for treatment services and assist in scheduling future appointments, demonstrating exceptional time management skills.
- Financial Transactions: Collect co-pays and process payments accurately, ensuring seamless financial transactions for our clients.
- Client Assistance: Offer guidance and support to clients with questions or concerns about their appointments, promoting a positive client experience.
- Facility Presentation: Maintain the aesthetics of the waiting room to guarantee it is always clean and presentable, creating a welcoming environment.
- Waiting Area Management: Monitor and manage the front desk and general waiting area to address the needs of all waiting clients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
- Clerical Duties: Complete general clerical tasks, including filing, faxing, photocopying, and sorting mail, contributing to the overall organization and efficiency of the center.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receptionist role or customer service position is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in basic office software and equipment.
- Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
- A compassionate and patient attitude toward clients.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology or a willingness to learn is a plus
- Bilingual (English and Spanish speaking) is preferred
Work Hours
- Shift work – *Must be able to work Saturdays*
