The Opportunity
We're seeking an expert email marketer to join our marketing team! You'll be primarily responsible for building and tracking email campaigns to ultimately increase the number of qualified leads marketing generates.
This is a hybrid position in South Jordan, Utah (M, W, F in-office).
What You'll Do:
- Generate marketing qualified leads using email.

Craft a weekly newsletter with engaging content from Canopy and the broader accounting industry

Build emails for recurring, nurture, and marketing campaigns using HubSpot.

Set up and send recurring, nurture, and marketing email campaigns (including email HTML, segmentation, scheduling, etc.).

Thoroughly proof and test all emails with a team before sending.

Ensure communications are sent out on-time to align with promotional goals

Pull and analyze reports on email success metrics; identify red flags, optimize and scale.

Continually refresh and optimize email content in recurring and nurture campaigns to keep them relevant and effective.

Stay caught up on new email technologies and email marketing ideas.

Other email compliance and database maintenance tasks as needed.

Collaborate with product marketing and customer teams to communicate product updates and expansion opportunities

Utilize additional channels such as in-app messaging where applicable
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years of experience with email marketing, lead nurturing, marketing automation, and web analytics.

Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce and Google Analytics

Proficiency in marketing automation technology.

Excellent understanding of email marketing concepts, metrics, and compliance laws.

Highly analytical and able to derive meaning from data through reports, A/B testing, and optimization.

Proficient writer and editor.

Keen eye for detail and thorough approach to proofing emails
- Able to both collaborate with a team and work alone with minimal supervision.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Basic HTML and design knowledge.

Interviewing @ Canopy:
We know application processes can be a little stressful. Here's are the stages of a typical interview process:
- Once your application is received, we will review it and get back to you if we feel like it's a mutual fit!

45-60 minute video or in-person interview with the Hiring Manager

Interview processes can vary depending on the role. The People Team will give you a role specific overview of the process during your first phone call.
