Dreyfuss Management is a well-established Property Management firm located in Bethesda, MD which has an opportunity for a Payroll Clerk /Human Resources Assistant.
Job Summary:
The Payroll Clerk/Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s payroll and human resource department.
· Submit and maintain payroll via ADP. Other payroll functions including; answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, distributing checks, and more.
· Process pre-hire, new-hire and termination packages.
· Enroll/disenroll employees via ADP, HRIS, and other online portals.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
· Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, and more.
· Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of payroll and human resource files and records.
· Perform periodic audits of payroll/HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are correct, collected, and filed appropriately.
· Track employee education.
· Create, gather, and distribute employee surveys.
· Manage onboarding program and exit interviews.
· Conduct monthly new hire orientations.
· Assist with planning and execution of special events such as benefit open enrollments, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and more.
· Post employee related information on Social Media and company website.
· FMLA administrator.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities/Education/Experience:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
· Excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
· Proficient with a Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
· ADP Certified/Knowledge (or similar payroll program).
· Associate’s degree in related field.
· Prior payroll/HR experience is a must.
