This position is designed to be part of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team for Idaho Region 3, which is a transdisciplinary team providing intensive, community-based outpatient services for participants with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) and co-occurring disorders.
The ACT team lead provides full clinical, administrative, and supervisory responsibility to the team. The team lead has no responsibility to any other program during the 40-hour work week and cannot fill more than one role on the team. In addition to providing administrative oversight to the team, the team lead performs the following functions: (1) Directly provides services as a clinician on the team to a small weekly caseload; and (2) Delivers consistent clinical supervision to ACT staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Directs day to day clinical operations specific to the ACT team
- Assuring adequate staff coverage and ongoing clinical supervision
- Leading daily organizational meetings and facilitate team cohesion
- Maintain appropriate supervision documentation for team clerical services
- Clinical records oversight and quality improvement/assurance activities
- Coordinating the assessment and treatment planning process
- Coordinate training and technical assistance for the team
- Educating community resources regarding the ACT team and maintain positive working relationships with key community organizations
- Establishes and maintains contact with the Idaho ACT Center of Excellence (CoE) for ongoing consultation related to establishing program fidelity
- Organizing and reporting data to Magellan and ID-ACT-CoE
Qualifications
- Masters degree in psychology, counseling, nursing, or social work. Licensed in Idaho, supervision endorsement preferred but not mandatory, with a minimum of 5 years of experience
- Knowledge of the ACT model and a willingness to promote and respect the philosophy of that model
- Strong clinical skills in treating individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
- Experience with Clinical supervision within a community mental health setting

Working Conditions
Ability to lift 10 pounds; ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. This position requires a current valid drivers license. Willingness to work in the office and in the community equally. ACT Teams are community engagement heavy, with an emphasis on Team cohesion and relationships. Will possibly require some evening and weekend hours when needing to cover staffing shortages.
Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. The days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. as well as on-call shifts on a rotating basis. This position may require longer working hours if necessary.
