An After School Tutor prepares learning materials to support student learning in Language Arts, Mathematics and Science and assisting students with homework. A Tutor will also complete progress reports to track academic growth.
*Planning, preparing and implementing an approved curriculum that includes language studies and math
*Assisting children with assignments and homework, such as reading, writing and math
*Interacting with children to provide guidance, emotional support and motivation to complete tasks
*Creating monthly/quarterly progress reports to monitor children’s academic development and personal growth
*Maintaining an organized and clean environment and ensuring students conduct themselves appropriately
*Ability to foster a fun and safe classroom environment conducive to learning
*Strong knowledge of child behavior and learning patterns
*Ability to work with children and remain friendly, calm and patient at all times
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Good analytical and problem-solving skills
*Ability to set rules and guidelines that align with PBIS for students to follow
*Solid organizational skills and ability to maintain a clean/neat work area
*Model and promote good communication, customer service and positive representation of the RFTS Program to students and all stakeholders
*Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures
