We are looking for our next Rockstar Physical Therapy Aide to join our team in Harrisburg. Our PT aide's typically have a bachelor’s degree or an associate’s degree and are looking to take a gap year while applying for graduate programs. This can also be a part-time position with flexibility around your class schedule.
As a company, one of our core values is that we are always learning. A PT Aide is not a career. All employees in this position are looking to further their education. Many of our PT aides are now Physical Therapist's or Physical Therapy Assistant's within our organization. Several have gone on to become Clinical Director's and Partner's in our business.
This is a great opportunity for you to immerse yourself in the field of PT and gain invaluable hands-on experience. Many of our PT aides have commented on how their time as a PT aide gave them the skills and preparation for PT school.
This person is someone who puts the patient first. Someone who understands and recognizes that the patient in front of them is more important than what’s on TV tonight or what their co-workers are doing this upcoming weekend. We want someone who makes a patient feel like family—not just a number.
Ideally, this person should be an extrovert—shyness is not a quality we’re looking for in this position. You must be outgoing and approachable as you will be working 1 on 1 with patients alongside the other members of your treatment team. Communication is key.
This person should also be someone who is great at multi-tasking. You will have multiple patients to work with at once as well as some other smaller administrative type tasks. You will be helping patients with their exercises, bringing new patients and current patients back to the gym and treatment rooms, and you will also be responsible for other tasks such as helping to keep the clinic clean.
Overall, Madden and Gilbert Physical Therapy is a great place to get your foot in the door in the Physical Therapy world. Our world-class Physical Therapists teach other clinicians on a national level in how to utilize hands-on techniques. Their skill sets have attracted people from Idaho, Canada, New York, Kentucky and Florida to fly in for treatment. We’re a great group of individuals who act as a tight knit family. Our success is only as great as the success of our employees and patients.
So if you’re someone who is looking to join a family of like-minded individuals and help local Central Pennsylvanians get back to normal naturally without relying on pain medications, injections or surgical procedures, send a cover letter and resume by clicking “Apply Now”.
