The Global Wind Organisation Instructor (GWO) presents training classes to all Customers enrolled in the GWO training courses. Classes will consist of both theory and practical laboratory applications. This position is responsible for creating and sustaining an environment of wind training and professional excellence as well as contributing directly to an environment of customer/instructor satisfaction and excellent customer service.
Position Responsibilities:
- Teach GWO classes (Basic Safety Training, Basic Technician Training, and Advanced Rescue Training) as delegated and per business needs.
- Organize an outline of practical and technical instruction, including demonstrations of skills required in the profession and lectures (discussions) on theory, techniques, and terminology.
- Synthesize the daily outline and instructional delivery in a competent, concise, and rational format utilizing teaching methodologies, which enhance customer cognition, understanding, competency, and increased customer knowledge.
- Plan and supervise the performance of customers, individually, in groups, seminars, and/or simulations in location and times as assigned.
- Assess and evaluate achievement of customers in technical knowledge, professional skills, and activities in the classroom.
- Initiate motivation practices and appraisals to affirm the customer-learning processes.
- Develop profession-stimulated opportunities that provide customer experience in performing tasks of increasing difficulty and that cultivate work values such as self-improvement and continual learning, integrity, independence, dependability, accountability, productivity, and achievement.
- Present and follow class syllabus itemizing course description, objectives, and evaluation criteria.
- Adhere, address, advise, and communicate Pinnacle Career Institute policies and procedures with customers and ensure compliance.
- Maintain physical quality of the classroom.
- Maintain a professional appearance, posture, and demeanor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Pinnacle Career Institute leadership.
Position Requirements:
- Three (3) to Five (5) years of increasing responsibility in the field of wind turbine installation and repair, and/or other areas.
- Experience and knowledge of OSHA compliance and ANSI is a plus.
- Knowledge of electricity, mechanical skills, and hydraulic pitch systems skill sets is a requirement.
- Knowledge of safety training or teaching is considered a plus.
- A proven record in working successfully with diverse populations.
- A positive attitude and ability to plan and adapt to change.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business, college departments, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
